If you’re itching for some Christmas-themed pagentry, there will be much more to come in December, but you can already get your fix with Cary Players’ “Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” “Dr. Suess’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas” at DPAC, or “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” at Memorial Hall in Raleigh. Though not technically Christmas-oriented, Raleigh Little Theatre’s annual “Cinderella” provides an enchanting evening.
There’s plenty of non-holiday entertainment to be had, however; much of it thought-provoking. Little Green Pig opens “Ethelred the Unready,” Black Ops and Manbites Dog open “The Typographer’s Dream,” and Burning Coal brings up the lights on “Written on the Heart.” Also, the Pauli Murray biopic “To Buy the Sun” moves to the Lyon Park Center in Durham this week only.
